  Erection of a new die-forging shop with one of the strongest counterblow hammers in Europe (630 kN m)

  Company changes its name to Schwermaschinenbau AG Wildau near Berlin (SMB AG)

  Wildauer Kurbelwelle GmbH emerges from SMB AG

  Member of theGeorgsmarienhütte (GMH) Holding

  Wildauer Kurbelwelle GmbH splits to become Wildauer Schmiedewerke GmbH (forging) and Gröditzer Kurbelwelle Wildau GmbH (Kurbelwellenbearbeitung) within the GMH Group of Companies
